Cabinet Office (2008) Think Family: Improving the life chances of families at risk

This report from the social exclusion task force sets out a vision for a local system that improves the life chances of families at risk and helps to break the cycle of disadvantage. It outlines the key characteristics of a system that thinks family at all levels, from governance to the frontline.

DfES (2007) Every Parent Matters

This document explains activity which enables parents to help their children learn, enjoy and achieve - whether those parents are cohabiting, married, living with their children or not. It highlights a number of gaps in what has been available, sets out how the system might best respond, and how this area could develop.
