Evidence use in everyday practice (cont.)
|
|
Using evidence involves combining knowledge from research (evidence) with other forms of knowledge, such as knowledge from practice experience and applying it to everyday practice.
One interesting way of using evidence to develop your everyday practice is the Development and Research (D&R) approach which integrates research rigour with practical development to design new interventions by building on a:
- Desire to challenge your own practice.
- Genuine curiosity about other people’s practice.
The CfBT/Coventry Anti-Bullying Development and Research (D&R) Project gives a useful account of the D&R process to tackle bullying using strategies developed through development and research.
