Finding what you need to answer your question
|
|
It is important to look for evidence that will help you with your knowledge problem. Things that will improve the effectiveness of your search for evidence include:
- Deciding which sources or resources to look at before you start
- Using the same terms on every site you search
- Keeping records of your search returns

|
Searching on the internet, or in databases, is about retrieving information. When information is stored for later retrieval key words or tags are assigned to the documents.
It is these key words or tags that are picked up by your search.
It is therefore helpful if you are precise with your use of language when you write search questions and that you also consider alternative words that may be used to tag documents.
